Certification Dives: May 31 & Jun 1 (Tentative: New River Beach). Note: Dives may be moved to Atlas Park (Pointe-Verte NB) if adverse weather.

To enroll in the Group PADI Open Diver course you must 

  • Be 15 years or older (for students 12 - 14 years old, contact us for Private training options)

  • Be reasonably fit with some swimming ability

  • Complete a Medical Statement

What will you learn?

The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases:

  • Knowledge Development
    • Online self-paced e-learning to understand basic principles of scuba diving
    • Classroom sessions for knowledge and skills review, hands-on equipment practice
  • Confined Water Dives (pool) to learn basic scuba skills
  • Open Water Dives (4 dives over a minimum of 2 days) to demonstrate your skills and explore!

What scuba gear will you use?

In the PADI Open Water Diver course, you learn to use basic scuba gear, including a mask, snorkel, fins, regulator, buoyancy control device and a tank.

All students enrolling in our courses must have a personal set of mask, fins, snorkel and neoprene boots (we have student priced packages available).
