The PADI Divemaster Course is your first big step towards a rewarding scuba diving career. This course is where you'll learn the ropes, from leading dives to helping with diver training and dealing with emergencies.

COJO Diving offers a flexible training option, you will work with live students and classes over an approximate period of 4-6 months while meeting your course requirements.

The PADI Divemaster Course is one of the most coveted and respected courses and accomplishments a recreational diver can participate in.

What will you learn?

The PADI Divemaster Course is the first leadership level course in the PADI System of diver education. It introduces candidates to learn advanced dive theory including physics, physiology, decompression theory, dive tables, standards and procedures and more, as well as how to perform dive skills demonstration quality and how to supervise student divers and certified divers.

Prerequisites:

  • Minimum 18 years old
  • Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care certified (CPR & First Aid) within the last 24 months
  • Certified as an Advanced Open Water Diver and Rescue Diver
  • An RSTC medical statement signed by a physician within the last 12 months.
  • Logged at least 40 dives to start, and logged at least 60 dives by course completion.

  • Divemaster conducted programs and specialized skills
  • Business of diving and your career
  • Awareness of the dive environment
  • Dive setup and management
  • Mapping an open water site
  • Conducting dive briefings
  • Organizing a search and recovery project and a deep dive
  • Conducting a ReActivate Diver Program
  • Assisting with Discover Scuba Diving and leading Discover Local Diving programs

Candidates will also learn about Physics, Physiology, Decompression Theory, Equipment, Supervision techniques, the aquatic realm, and much more.

What gear will you need?

Your personal recreational dive equipment (must meet PADI Certified Assistant standards), contact us for a list.
Drysuit strongly recommended.

  • EFR / First Aid & CPR certification (if required)
  • Additional Equipment rentals (if required)
  • Boat Charter Fees, Park Fees (if applicable)
